It’s exhausting. After a long day in the fields, dealing with consumer demands, marketing, and the technicalities of product development is incredibly frustrating. Both the farmer and the consumer are right in their expectations but there’s a massive gap in the middle.

After successfully launching our Virgin Coconut Oil and seeing the positive impact on our farmers, we decided to step into a space almost everyone connects with - Coffee.

To test the waters, we ran an experiment. We asked a farmer from Coorg to process, roast, and grind his coffee entirely on his own, blend as per the market standard without our intervention. The product failed. It wasn’t because the beans were bad. In fact, he had Plantation A-grade beans that met specialty coffee standards! It failed because taking a raw crop and turning it into a market ready product requires deep technical expertise, quality control, and marketing experience.

That failure validated the Sarvaani model - true impact happens when we walk alongside the farmer from the soil to the final packaging and provide them with an assured marketplace.

So, we went to work.
Over the last two years, we brought in professional coffee experts. I’ve lost count of how many cups of coffee I’ve tasted and tested. I can accept a product failing due to secondary market reasons, but I will never compromise on a bad cup of coffee. World-class quality is paramount. Everything else comes second.

Today, I am incredibly proud to announce that Sarvaani Coffee is officially live!

We sourced the best Arabica parchment, Arabica cherry, and Robusta cherry from them. The best part? We asked them to set their own prices. All they wanted was an assured, fraud-free marketplace, and they delivered exceptional, clean beans.

This year, they stood with us during production. Next year, the goal is to have them producing right on their own farms through our Farmer Manufacturing Unit model. There is unparalleled joy in a farmer knowing exactly where their crop goes, and hearing a customer say, "This cup of coffee is great."
