Shuchi Ruchi by SARVAANI
At SARVAANI, our commitment to Health, Hygiene, and Honesty extends beyond our manufacturing units and into the very environments that sustain us. While we continuously strive for sustainable practices, we acknowledge that a few of our product variants currently require plastic packaging. To consciously offset this footprint and take direct accountability, we created Shuchi Ruchi—an active, hands-on environmental drive led by our team.
The "Shuchi" Mission: Restoring Nature
"Shuchi" translates to cleanliness.
Through this initiative, our team steps out of the daily routine and ventures into some of Karnataka's most beautiful and ecologically sensitive landscapes. From the historic heights of Bhasmangi Betta and Siddaramappanabetta to the serene 16 Kere wetlands in Mysore and the breathtaking Mari Kanive Dam, we go where nature needs us.
Our mission is direct: we spend hours trekking, exploring, and clearing these natural habitats of discarded waste. During these drives, our team members—often joined by enthusiastic locals—collect thousands of plastic bottles and wrappers from hillsides, riverbanks, and forests. Every single piece of plastic we gather is brought back and handed over to dedicated recycling centers. It is our Standard Operating Procedure for giving back, ensuring that the wildlife habitats we love to document and protect remain pristine.
The "Ruchi" Reward: A Taste of the Countryside
"Ruchi" translates to taste.
There is no better reward after a long day of environmental cleanup than a hot, delicious meal cooked in the great outdoors.
Once the area is clean, the team sets up a countryside kitchen. Using our own freshly milled SARVAANI virgin coconut and cold-pressed groundnut oils, we cook up mouth-watering, traditional recipes. Whether it is preparing spicy Avalakki and bajjis on a misty hilltop, frying fresh fish by the river, or making a slow-cooked, wood-fired biryani, the cooking becomes a celebration. We share these meals together—sometimes eating directly off historically carved rock plates or fresh leaves—bonding over good food and the satisfaction of a hard day's work.
A Philosophy of Care
Shuchi Ruchi is more than just a corporate cleanup drive; it is a reflection of our core philosophy. Just as we champion regenerative agriculture to heal the soil, we believe in physically stepping in to heal our local environments.
We document these journeys to share the hidden beauty of our land, the reality of the plastic problem, and the joy of coming together to fix it. We invite you to watch our journey, draw inspiration, and join us in leaving nature a little cleaner, and a lot more beautiful, than we found it.
